MMM Sweet and sour pork

A while ago I was talking to the ladies in the kitchen, and we got talking about lunches that are served. I Gave them a copy of the Family cookbook, and found out that a couple of recipes I like were not in it :(

Anyway the ladies did sweet and sour pork for lunch yesterday, but they had to do for it 235 people :) so they changed a few things, they used pork chops.

Also used some pineapple with it and a couple of other changes, the End result was that

EVERYONE LOVED it. The ladies said they haven't had so many people coming in and saying that they liked lunch before. One guy said that he ate so many that he was ill.

So Mom your Sweet and sour pork was a Huge success. Thanks from the office!

Hi! I guess I would be one of the "ladies from the kitchen". :)

The recipe was fab! I changed it a bit by adding pineapple juice (from a can of pineapple rings) to the sauce and made a marinade of olive oil and some minced onion, garlic and hot chilies (all tossed in a food processor). We marinated the pork (chops, but ribblits would be even better) in the oil and garlic mix from above for several hours, and then quick fried the chops for a couple of minutes on each side. After frying, we placed the chops in a baking dish, ladled the sauce over them, garnished with pineapple rings and baked for about 15 minutes.

Robert's description is spot on. People loved them and some couldn't help but to eat them until they were uncomfortable. (I really hope it was because these were so good, not that the rest of the time was so bad.)

Anyway, A BIG THANK YOU to your mom! Got any more recipes?
