Wind, Snow and the Rain

Well it is Blowing like crazy today, and there is a bit of rain mixed in so the snow is just evaporating. Glad I am inside today.

went out to a cocktail party last night with a bunch from work. I have not been that drunk since my Early 20's. Good thing i don't have a car, i would have been going to pick it up this morning...

It was a great party and everyone had a good time. I was drinking Poison iveys at the end, they are bright green. and pretty good tasting.

On the tech support side of things, my dad got the settings on my TV messed up, and i am trying to do Tech support from Iceland... Not easy when i am not there to see what isn't working.

Rain, Rain make the snow go away?!

Well it started raining and blowing last night, and the snow is melting away fairly fast. The new rain gear got a good workout today and works Great! Thanks again for the X-Mas gift :)

I have been lazy about getting the X-Mas photos up but will hopefully have them up soon(tm)

Let it snow, Let it snow...

Well it snowed last night, and not a little skiff, we have a couple of feet of the stuff drifted into corners :) It left me oddly cheerful this morning. Even though it was a little miserable walking in as it is still snowing and the wind is blowing. It is a good morning, had a nice chat with a guy in 1-11 who is from Norway. He was also oddly in a good mood from the snow, so I guess it is something about being from someplace where there is snow for half the year.

Well I must get to work now, so your turn to email and let me know how life is for you in your parts of Canada.

oooo The fireworks, MAKE them STOP!

Well it turned out it was really stormy here for new years so allot of people didn't fire off there fireworks. From what I heard they went up about 30m then did a sharp turn to the horizontal.

So when i got back Friday people where firing them off. and then more and more and more. All night , then all night Saturday night, and Sunday night. It was like being in a war zone The constant bang boom and pop.

At time it would die down then there would be a BANG and you would jump.

The fireworks where amazing to watch but after a couple hours you just want them to stop :)

A trip to the other home

Just got back from Canada for holidays. Had a great time seeing family and friends for loot day and new years.

The flight there was a pain they re routed me through Baltimore -> Toronto and when I was in Baltimore there was no one at the Air Canada ticket counter to take my luggage. so i ended up taking it through boarding security and they took a Christmas gift (more than 100 ml of liquid) of Brenivin.

On the way back my luggage didn't make the connection in Minneapolis/ ST Paul. and will be delivered today. Hopefully everything is ok with it.

will be adding some more photos to flicker but not in the Iceland group.
